From a young age, Melanie Campion showed a passion for art by designing her own comics as well as various weird and wonderful creatures. Inspired by the monsters and beasts found in the popular game series 'Final Fantasy' created by square, she would often design her own creatures into her sketchbook during lessons. She thoroughly enjoyed studying art throughout high school, often making top marks for her involvement in various projects and challenges that took place throughout the 6 years she studied there. Some projects included designing a new memorial garden which is now placed at the heart of the school as well as auctioning her art for charity at a charity ball.

During her time in high school she discovered various computer software that enhanced her art and so she began teaching herself in Adobe Photoshop, as well as online Oekaki and Paint software, and Coral's Paint Shop Pro. She also joined the website DeviantART where she traded art with other artists and sold her art to people from around the world.

She went on to studying Animation at Glyndwr University in Wrexham, Wales from September 2006 until 2008. When a Games design course was set up in August 2008, she switched to studying the concept art and design of video games, and graduated in October 29th 2009.
